THIS IS AN URGENT OHIO GUN OWNERS LEGISLATIVE ALERT

Dear Friend,
I’ve got some alarming news that we need to take action on.
You and I have been fighting very hard to get Constitutional Carry out of committee.
And thanks to that hard work, the bill is moving.
But just like the 131st General Assembly, rumors are swirling that Buckeye Firearms Association and the NRA are teaming up and preparing to water the bill down before it even gets out of committee!
This is 100% unacceptable.
The fact of the matter is that the NRA and the Buckeye Firearms Association BOTH have been totally AWOL on Constitutional Carry for the last five years, refusing to advocate for it and refusing to do emails.
Now that OGO members and supporters are getting the bill moving, BFA and NRA are trying to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory!
As it currently sits, our bill:
- Replaces the Concealed Handgun License (CHL) with a Concealed Weapons License) CWL that allows Ohioans the ability to carry any and all legal weapons concealed on their person for self-defense.
- Makes the license to carry optional – getting government out of the rights regulation business and recognizing our Constitutional and God-given right to keep and bear arms.
- Expands state preemption of firearms regulation at the local level to include all legal weapons, their accessories, and attachments – so that liberal mayors like Dayton’s Nan Whaley can’t implement local gun control of their own!
- Adheres to the 4th Amendment by prohibiting law enforcement from detaining you or taking away your firearms even though you’re innocent – just because you have them!
- Helps stop church massacres by allowing law-abiding gun-owning Ohioans the ability to concealed carry in their place of worship – unless their place of worship has specifically designated themselves as a gun-free zone.
But now our sources at the Statehouse indicate that Buckeye Firearms Association and the NRA are working on a sub bill that would reinsert the prohibition on carrying in places of worship right back into the bill!
We MUST try to stop that from happening.
We cannot allow Republicans to start watering this bill down before it even leaves committee because if we do, the communists masquerading as Democrats will run a slew of gun-control amendment to kill the bill on the House floor!
And chief among those amendments will be the DeWine-Husted Red Flag Gun Confiscation law that has significant support within the Republican Caucus!
That’s why I need you to call their cell phones right now and DEMAND that they stop watering the bill down and pass it without any weakening amendments.
Please call or text these Republican committee members and demand that they pass HB227 with ZERO weakening amendments:

When you contact them, be prepared for them to offer all manner of excuses as to why they have been blocking the bill.
Keep in mind, they have been getting bombarded by calls and emails demanding that they move the bill.
Keep in mind this has already passed in twenty-one states across America.
Keep in mind that they KNOW that the government should not and does not have the authority to license freedom.
And the brutal fact is this: no matter what excuse they offer, this bill has been sitting in THEIR committee, a committee composed of every member of the Republican “Leadership” team (except for the Speaker), and they are the only ones who can vote on it.
The buck stops with them – the responsibility for their lack of action is theirs alone.
With the Radical Left on the warpath against freedom and working overtime to implement a full-blown communist agenda in our nation, it is unacceptable for Republicans to fail to fight for our side.
They should be fighting back against the Radical Left like you and me, not appeasing them.
So please make these phone calls or send these text messages RIGHT NOW.
It is time to ram this bill down the Left’s throat.
No backing down. No retreat. No surrender. NO COMPROMISE.
