If there’s one thing we know for sure here at Ohio Gun Owners, it is that the radical left is bulldozing harder than ever before to dismantle the traditional fabric of our state and nation.
The Democrat party has been hijacked to the point of embracing pure communism, and many jelly-spined Republican politicians have adopted a “kowtow policy” in response to their demands.
So with “our side” on the run with tails firmly tucked between their legs, gun-control hard liners have leaped in to sledge-hammer away at the Second Amendment in the hopes of removing the biggest obstacle to to implementing their policies of social destruction on a wide scale.
And that’s why they are working so hard to pass HB123.
Simply put, HB123 is a social engineering bill, and the engineering they want to implement is not good.
What HB123 does is consorts gun-control organizations (like Bloomberg’s Everytown for Gun Safety and Sandy Hook Promise) with our classrooms so that they can teach “violence prevention” under the pretense of being able to prevent school suicides, shootings and “gun violence.”
Republican state representative J. Todd Smith, who sponsored and shamefully voted “yes” on the bill, told me that this bill (HB123) simply takes what parents used to do for kids and replaces that with these government programs.
Site, you and I both know that suicide is a moral issue, one that government cannot solve (but which their laws can certainly help create!).
And the idea that these “lawmakers” can somehow create enough laws that kids contemplating suicide will decide not to is completely ridiculous, to say the least.
Perhaps most preposterous about these reproachful proposals is that half of these politicians at the Statehouse can’t even figure out which bathroom boys and girls should use in our schools!
The proof, however, that this new law has zero intention of fixing anything is that it doesn’t even address the insane levels of psychotropic and Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor (SSRI) drugs being shelled out to our school children.
As most of you probably know, nearly every mass killer in recent years has a history of psychotropic drug use.
In fact, according to some studies, the number of school shootings and suicides directly coincides with the increase in use of psychotropic drugs, dating back to the 1990’s.
Many studies show that psychotropic drug use like Prozac and Ritalin dramatically increase violent tendencies.
But alarmingly, nobody knows what the effects of psychotropic drug use on the adolescent brain are because pharmaceutical companies have NEVER released the studies!
If our General Assembly truly wanted make sure it was doing everything it could to eliminate its contributions to the problem of teen suicide, it would use its subpoena powers to demand these studies immediately to make sure that government isn’t aiding and abetting in the creation of these monsters!
HB123 and the tie to Big Gun Control
The fact is, you can know a lot about a bill by looking at who supports it.
On Tuesday of this week, Melissa Cropper, the President of the Ohio Federation of Teachers Union, testified to the Senate Education Committee that her organization supports “HB 123 because it uses an Everytown model.”
She went on to say “Everytown for Gun Safety supports HB123. Everytown is a national organization that seeks to improve the public’s understanding of the causes of gun violence and the means to reduce it. They do this by conducting groundbreaking original research, developing evidence-based policies.”
And Sandy Hook Promise, an organization that started after the Newtown, Connecticut murders at Sandy Hook, is also aggressively trying to pass the bill.
Funded by mega donors like New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Sandy Hook Promise openly engages their supporters to lobby Congress to pass Universal Background Checks, “hi-capacity” magazine bans and Red Flag gun confiscation laws.
Sandy Hook Promise’s lobbyist, Annie Stephens, urged the Ohio General Assembly in her testimony to pass the bill so that they can offer their “free” “Safety Assessment and Intervention” program designed by none other than Dr. Dewey Cornell.
Dewey Cornell is a well-known radical, anti-gun clinical psychologist professor from the University of Virginia, notorious for his 8-point plan to reduce “school violence:”
- A total BAN on “assault-style” weapons.
- Universal Background Checks for every state.
- Red Flag Gun Confiscation Orders so that guns can be confiscated without due process.
Cornell is radicalized gun-control activist, not an objective “scientist,” who has testified against gun rights in legislative settings before.
You see, these awful people have no interest in “teaching” anything. What they really want is access to our schools so that they can indoctrinate our children!
Back to the bill, one of the major thrusts in HB123 is to assemble a “threat assessment” program so that students and teachers can anonymously report other students they believe, according to Cornell’s subjective criteria, are a “threat” to themselves or others.
In other words, HB123 will empower kids to “red flag” other kids based on criteria and programs taught, designed and implemented by subjective, biased militants from gun-control organizations who despise our Second Amendment freedoms.
Have you raised your children to love the Founding Fathers, freedom and our Second Amendment rights?
Under HB123’s anonymous reporting system, kids raised to in liberal homes to hate our flag will be able to “red flag” your kids anonymously, and the first thing you would know about it is likely a knock at the door from your local law-enforcement wanting to know where your firearms are stored.
Sandy Hook Promise supports this bill because they want their wolves to have the access they need to indoctrinate our kids.
Now What?
Sadly, Republican traitors to traditional family values (like Republican Representative Kyle Koehler) have already passed it through the Ohio House, and it is currently in the Senate Education Committee.
As you can see, we’ve already done the work for you by writing the email.
