On Tuesday afternoon the House Federalism and Interstate Relations Committee heard “proponent testimony” on H.B. 201, Constitutional Carry.
I was happy to offer testimony on behalf of Ohio Gun Owners, our members and supporters in support for Constitutional Carry!
But it is not enough – not NEARLY enough – for me to simply stand there and speak in favor of the bill!
Now that we’ve cleared the hurdles of getting the bill introduced, getting lots of cosponsors added to the bill and getting past the first hearings, it is time to crank up the pressure!
Web, that’s why I need you and gun owners just like you from all over Ohio, to make your voice heard at the Statehouse.
For those new to this email list, Constitutional Carry is the simple idea that if you’re legal to possess a firearm, you’re legal to carry it with no permission, taxes or fees required.
That’s the way it is in thirteen states already, and these states see an INCREASE in demand for training, a REDUCTION in violent crime and zero increase in accidental shootings!
Right now the members of the Federalism Committee are wanting to know what kind of grassroots DEMAND there is for Constitutional Carry.
Will you take a few moments to help in the fight to advance our Second Amendment Rights in Ohio, Web?
You see, under President Barack Obama – who was no friend to gun owners – America went from two to eleven Constitutional Carry states.
And since President Trump took office back in January, two more states have joined them!
In fact, over 15 states this year either have or currently are considering Constitutional Carry legislation.
With Hillary Clinton and her anti-gun pals defeated at every level of government in the last elections, “pro-gun majorities” have a golden opportunity.
Right here in Ohio, we hold one of the largest “pro-gun majorities” in Ohio history.
If we don’t take advantage of it, I’m afraid we won’t have a better chance for years to come.
That’s why I’m asking you right now to call or email the members of the House Federalism Committee right now.

When you call or email them, make sure they know a few things:
➤➤ Tell them that you support House Bill 201, the Ohio Gun Owners’ Constitutional Carry bill by Representative Ron Hood!
➤➤ Explain to them that with our current legislative makeup and a tailwind of Constitutional Carry sweeping across the country, NOW is the time for Ohio to pass it!
➤➤ Make sure they know you want them to vote H.B. 201 out of Committee and send it to the floor of the House for a full vote!
