With the Ohio General Assembly now well underway, and Rep. Ron Hood (R-Ashville) moments away from introducing the Ohio Constitutional Carry Bill, gun-grabbers are beginning to panic.
They know Constitutional Carry is on the march all over the country.
They know this is best opportunity Second Amendment supporters have had in years to GO ON THE OFFENSE with pro-gun reforms.
And they’re worried that Ohio — the perennial presidential battleground state, which President Trump won by the widest margin in nearly three decades — could be lost for good!
So they’re getting ready to pull out all the stops to browbeat members of BOTH parties into sweeping Constitutional Carry under the rug.
And without your IMMEDIATE action, I’m worried they could very well get away with it.
That’s why I’m counting on you to please click and submit your Constitutional Carry Petition to your state Representative and Senator IMMEDIATELY.
As you’ll see, this petition insist that your State Representative and Senator cosponsor and do everything in their power to pass Constitutional Carry.
Once a bill is introduced, cosponsors cannot be added. So it’s up to you and me to ensure we have a show of strength right off the bat!
The truth is, there’s nothing the gun-grabbers fear more than an all-out fight over Constitutional Carry in the Ohio General Assembly.
You see, if passed, the Constitutional Carry Bill would restore the right of every law-abiding Ohio citizen to carry a gun to protect themselves and their families — WITHOUT going through a bunch of bureaucratic rigmarole!
This is the way it’s been done in Alaska, Arizona, Wyoming and Vermont for years.
But in just the past few years, Constitutional Carry has passed in Arkansas, Kansas, West Virginia, Missouri, Maine, Idaho and Mississippi.
And just this week, New Hampshire passed it into law!
In Maine it passed with a Democrat-controlled House. In West Virginia and Missouri it passed with a Democrat Governor.
So with supposedly “pro-gun” legislators outnumbering anti-gun politicians 2-to-1 in Columbus, if you and I can ramp up enough pressure, there’s no reason Constitutional Carry can’t soon be the reality here in Ohio.
Despite the hand-wringing of nanny-staters like Michael Bloomberg, Constitutional Carry states are not plagued with shootouts and vigilante justice.
I know that comes as no surprise to you.
Just the threat of running into someone who is armed is enough to convince many career criminals to think twice!
With the pro-gun majorities in Columbus that Second Amendment supporters delivered in 2016, now is the time for politicians to deliver for us.
It’s time to ensure promises are kept.
The good news is, just forcing a public, roll-call vote puts you and me in a win/win situation.
Those who vote against Constitutional Carry will only be setting themselves up to run into a pro-gun buzz saw at the ballot box.
Even if Governor Kasich vetoes in his lame duck term, he’ll only be ensuring gun rights become a central issue of the 2018 Governor campaign — which could effectively guarantee another massive debacle for anti-gun politicians.
But first things first.
With the Ohio General Assembly now in session, there’s no time to waste.
It’s up to you and me to PROVE we still have the momentum by quickly generating as many cosponsors to Constitutional Carry as possible.
The more we can generate, the LOUDER our voices will be.
That’s why your signed petition is so critical — and why I’m counting on your IMMEDIATE generosity.
Even as I write you, Ohio Gun Owners is working on an all-out plan to force BOTH houses of the Ohio General Assembly on record on the Constitutional Carry Bill, including:
>>> Collecting at least 100,000 signed petitions from Second Amendment supporters — like the one I’ve linked to in this email — insisting that their legislators take action on Constitutional Carry;
>>> A massive mail and email program all across Ohio designed to generate pressure on politicians;
>>> A statewide media tour where I’ll work talk radio and local TV explaining why Constitutional Carry is so important for Ohio;
>>> Hard-hitting Internet, radio and newspaper ads calling out anti-gun politicians who oppose Constitutional Carry.
I know this plan is ambitious. It’s not cheap either.
But I’m afraid it’s the ONLY way you and I are going to stand up to BILLIONAIRE anti-gun activist Michael Bloomberg and the rest of the gun-grabbers.
The great news is, you’ve seen your action make a difference.
In fact, after Second Amendment supporters’ victories at the polls in 2016, we should have a head of steam going into 2017!
I know that’s a lot to ask for.
But with the Ohio General Assembly in full swing — and massive pro-gun majorities in Columbus — this is the best opportunity to pass Constitutional Carry you and I have had in years. Maybe ever!
We must act. We must ensure the victories Second Amendment supporters won at the ballot box aren’t wasted.
Of course, if $250 or $100 is just too much, please agree to $50, $35 or at least $20.
